Since the 1990s, we can see more and more Israelis who want to invest their money abroad, investing privately or choosing investment houses, entrepreneurs, and others. One of the most popular areas of investment among Israelis is Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and one of the most prominent investment cities is Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. It is possible to understand why these countries and cities were considered a magnet for investing in assets. After the fall of the communist regimes in those countries, many assets were transferred to investment. They ceased to be state assets and were sold to private entities. The countries needed money, so the assets were sold for relatively low amounts. Both in relation to similar assets in the West, and in relation to the value of the assets as they should be if the countries did not need liquid money as soon as possible. To this day we can find investment properties in Kiev and quite a few Israelis who choose to invest their money here. In Israel it is very difficult to buy real estate, certainly not at reasonable prices, and in Western countries prices are rising. Many Israelis prefer to invest their money where they can maximize their returns. Among the assets we can invest in the city are residential buildings, commercial buildings, shops and various industrial buildings. In some cases, these are existing structures that we can decide to leave as they are. You can also find new buildings where we can enter as investors or, alternatively, invest in an existing building and change its designation according to need and of course according to the law. How do we find investment properties in Kiev? As we have noted, we can make investments in the city through various investment houses. We can also use local agencies or Israeli agencies that mediate between Israeli investors and local entities. If we choose to invest privately, we can save the management fees of the agencies and thus reduce costs. We can use the agency’s ability to find good assets for us, both those that have the potential to generate profits and those that are relatively easy to manage.
